Ducted Systems
Whole Home Solutions

Enjoy consistent, high-performance climate control across your entire home with just one concealed system.

  • Discreet Aesthetics: An indoor unit hidden in the ceiling cavity distributes air through flexible ducts to unobtrusive grilles.
  • Smart Zoning: Control temperatures in individual rooms or sections to optimise comfort and drastically reduce energy waste.
  • Whisper-Quiet: Unobtrusive and silent operation makes it ideal for open-plan living and larger households.
  • Adds Property Value: A premium investment that permanently upgrades your home’s year-round livability.

How it
works:

Indoor Unit

Concealed in the ceiling, continually drawing in return air over the evaporator coil and blowing cooled or heated air back into your home.

Outdoor Unit

Houses key components like the compressor and heat exchanger, driving the refrigerant cycle.

Controllers

Wall-mounted management of your settings (featuring premium options like AirTouch and Daikin).

Refrigerant Pipes

Concealed conduit transferring heat between the indoor and outdoor units.

Flexible Duct

Distributes conditioned air throughout the home.

Supply Air Outlets

Delivers conditioned air, with a selection of grilles to suit your aesthetic.

Return Air Grille

The pathway for air to be conditioned, including a detachable dust filter.
Don’t waste money cooling empty rooms. Advanced zone controllers allow you to divide your home into distinct areas, giving you complete climate control exactly where you need it.

Don’t settle for a frustrating system

A bad zoning can make an expensive air conditioner incredibly frustrating to use. Here is what happens when inexperienced installers get the design wrong:

System sizing errors

Too small: The system runs constantly, offering poor comfort and driving up your energy bills.

Too large: Causes short cycling, higher running costs, and fails to remove humidity properly.

Poor airflow design

Getting the return air sizing, outlet placement, and system balancing wrong leads to noisy drafts and frustrating hot spots in your home.

Inefficient zoning

A poorly planned zoning layout restricts your control, defeats the purpose of energy efficiency, and forces you to waste money cooling empty spaces.

We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach.
We custom-design your system to prevent common pitfalls and ensure perfect whole-home comfort.

Site

We assess floor plans, house positioning, heat loads, and ceiling space.

Helping homeowners make smart savings since 1994:

  • Very happy with the customer service, support and patience of the entire team. My Body Corporate application for installation to my apartment was delayed many times and the team at Jadair helped me so well through the process. Thank you

  • The service team arrived on time. We’re friendly and efficient. We had booked a superior service on one of our units but the young man who attended said it wasn’t required, that a basic would do. He phoned his office to have the quote reduced. Very honest of them. Thank you.

  • I recently had my ducted air conditioning system replaced by Jadair Electrical, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and the team worked with great attention to detail. They left everything clean and tidy, which I really appreciated. The new system is working perfectly, and the improvement in comfort throughout the house is noticeable straight away. It’s clear they take pride in their workmanship and customer service. I highly recommend Jadair Electrical to anyone needing electrical or air conditioning work. A genuinely great experience!

  • Jack and Finn were exceptionally courteous, respectful, friendly but extremely professional in servicing our home aircons. Their communication was great, and they happily did a little extra whilst on site. As a service business owner I appreciated their extremely high standard of work. Well done and thanks. I look forward to your service at our commercial building.

  • Jadair was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry. They were extremely helpful with their advice with Troy emailing us and following up with phone calls to discuss various options and prices. Their service was prompt and very efficient. I was amazed at how they did the site inspection, report and installation in just 2 working days. We are so pleased with their service. We highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use their services again.

  • Jadair put in a Daikin 12.5Kw ducted system for me (7 zones) and I couldn't be happier with the service and install. Getting a full quote and plan was easy and all my questions were answered fully, so I was confident in choosing the best set-up for for my family home. Installation was professional, on time, clean and without any incident. The boys arrived early and were fully done by mid afternoon, having fully cleaned up after themselves. I'm definitely happy to recommend Jadair.

  • Jadair installed our ducted air conditioning system several years ago, and have performed the annual maintenance ever since. I heartily recommend Jaidair..

    FAQs

Is ducted air conditioning suitable for existing homes?

Absolutely. While ducted air conditioning is commonly installed during new home construction, many existing homes can also be successfully retrofitted with a ducted system. Retrofitting requires careful planning, experience and creative problem-solving. Every home presents different challenges, whether it’s limited roof space, difficult ceiling access, structural beams, cathedral ceilings or unique floor plans.

At Jadair, these are the projects we enjoy most. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we custom design every installation around your home. We’ve developed practical solutions for homes that other installers have considered too difficult or have recommended against. During your in-home consultation, we’ll assess available roof space, existing electrical infrastructure, ceiling construction, and the most discreet duct and outlet locations.

What size ducted system do I need?

Bigger isn’t always better. An undersized system may struggle to maintain temperature during Queensland’s hottest days, while an oversized system can cycle on and off too frequently, reducing efficiency and comfort. The correct size depends on several factors, including floor area, ceiling height, insulation, window size and orientation, number of occupants, and local climate. We assess each home individually to recommend a system that’s correctly matched to your needs.

Will a ducted system increase my electricity bill?
Any air conditioner uses electricity, but modern inverter ducted systems are designed to operate efficiently. Running costs depend on factors such as the size of your home, insulation, thermostat settings, outdoor temperatures and how often the system is used. Choosing the right size system and having it professionally installed can make a significant difference to ongoing operating costs.
Does ducted air conditioning improve home value?
While every property is different, ducted air conditioning is widely regarded as a desirable feature for many buyers, particularly in Queensland where cooling is an important consideration.
Is ducted air conditioning better than multiple split systems?
It depends on your home and how you use it. Split systems can be an excellent choice for cooling one or two rooms. However, if you’re planning to air condition several bedrooms and living areas, a ducted system often delivers a cleaner appearance, quieter operation and simpler day-to-day control.
How long do ducted air conditioners last?
A quality ducted air conditioning system typically provides 12 to 20 years of reliable service when correctly installed and regularly maintained. Installation quality, servicing and how the system is used all play a significant role in its lifespan.
How often should ducted air conditioning be serviced?
We recommend servicing your ducted air conditioner every 12 months. Regular servicing helps maintain energy efficiency, improve indoor air quality, extend the life of the system, detect potential issues early, and maintain manufacturer warranty requirements.
    How long does installation take?
Most residential ducted air conditioning installations are completed within one to two days. Larger homes, multi-storey properties or installations requiring significant electrical work may take longer. Before installation, we’ll explain the expected timeframe and any preparation required.
